There is a children building in Shonandai Culture
Center. In the building there is a floor that is open generally
for children as a place to play. We organized the workshop constructing
a booth to introduce life of Dai tribe live in Unnan province
in China at a corner of the floor.
There is a hut made of bamboo already. The participants
constructed actually thinking how to introduce the Dai tribe to
children and how the hut and space they want to create match well.

First, The participants set up bamboo near
the entrance of the hut.
|

On the basis of the place that children
play, the participants set up lots of truss to raise strength.
In this step, The participants decide the design of these
bamboos as talking about the imagination that the wind goes
through it.

The wooden clothes rack was set up to display
the folk costumes of the Dai nation.

In order to make children feel life of
the Dai nation, we rebuilt the interior of the hut. The
participants set up the mat all around wall and floor, and
cut the mat for a fireplace and prepared small articles.

Lastly, the participants hang a lot of
picture on the wall backward bamboo.

In order to tell life of the Dai nation
to children, the participants set the model that we, this
organization, made already. close to the entrance.

Several days after this workshop, we went
to the Culture Center. Children played cheerfully and pleasantly.
