This workshop is the first workshop of continuous
whokshop divided into three times. The third workshop took place
in a world heritage 'Arc et Senans'. In this workshop the participants
have a discussion about design about what they want to build in
the world heritage in the third workshop.
This workshop is took place in the campus of Grenoble
University at the center of Grenoble City that is located in south
of France enclosed with mountains. In this University, there is
the biggest organization for researching on soil in Europe called
"CRA TERRA". The organization possesses not only big
atelier but also big storehouse to keep a great deel of sample
of siol. This discussion is gift with material of model especially
soil. Because the participants can easily use this big atelier.
In this workshop. Mr. Kinya Maruyama, architect
from Japan, and Mr. Ricardo L. Castro, architect from France,
were invited as a Lecturer. There are two kind of workshop. In
the workshop organized by Mr. Kinya, he invited Mr. Naoki Kusumi,
plaster mater, from Japan. The participants consisted of the studeints
of Grenoble University and students from Japan.
In Kinya's workshop, the participants make long
soil screen wall that covers the facade of a building which is
supposed to be restructed in Arc et Senans.
In Ricardo's workshop, the participants make a
machine which cut the view of visitor of it with the concept of
light, color and view.
